I'm not getting any reminders

Almost always one of three things:

• A Focus mode is on. Do Not Disturb, Sleep, Work or a custom Focus will hide notifications from apps that aren't on its allow list. Add Unwander to the ones you use: Settings › Focus › [the mode] › Apps.
• Notifications are off for Unwander. Check Settings › Notifications › Unwander. If you declined the prompt when you first set up, this is where to turn them back on.
• Scheduled Summary is on. If Unwander is in your Scheduled Summary, its reminders are held back and delivered in a batch once or twice a day, which defeats the point. Remove it at Settings › Notifications › Scheduled Summary.

Reminders also only arrive between your waking hours, which you can change in the app's Settings.

Why are the reminders at random times?

On purpose, and it is the main thing the app does. A reminder that arrives at the same time every day gets learned and then ignored within about a week. Unpredictable ones keep working. This is why there is no way to set a fixed schedule.

I tapped Yes on a reminder and nothing happened

That is how it is meant to work. Answering a reminder dismisses it and does nothing else — the app does not open, nothing is recorded, and there is no count anywhere. The point of Unwander is to give you a moment back, not to pull you into your phone.

I missed a day. Can I fill it in?

No, and that is deliberate. A day can only be rated on the day itself. Once midnight passes it is closed for good.

The question the app asks is how present you were today. Answered later it becomes a guess, and a record made of guesses is worse than a record with gaps in it. It also means your streak reflects something real.

My streak went back to zero

A streak counts days you rated, one after another. Missing a day ends the run, and it cannot be repaired, for the same reason days cannot be filled in later. There is nothing to fix — just rate today and a new run starts.

Can I change the reminder sound, or how many I get?

The number is in the app's Settings, along with your waking hours. The sounds are fixed — there is one for reminders and a different one for the evening check-in, so you can tell them apart without looking.

How do I change or remove my name?

In the app's Settings. It is stored only on your device and in your own iCloud; we never see it.

Will my entries move to a new iPhone?

Yes, as long as you are signed into the same iCloud account. Your days sync through your own private iCloud storage, so a new phone or a reinstall picks them up. Signing out of iCloud leaves the app working, but only on that device.

How do I cancel?

Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions on your iPhone. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Your past entries stay readable in the app after a subscription ends.

Apple handles all refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
